Vegetarian food is a tasting journey that climbs the veins of a plant. Every recipe here is one growth stage of that climb: soil, seed, stem, leaf, blossom - land, seed, sunlight and water, returned to the table.

ROOT & SPROUT is a vegetarian recipe journal built like a plant: roots below, seeds at the soil line, leaves, climbing vines, and a crown of blossoms. It began with one bunch of carrots pulled from the ground still warm; the bed has since grown into a whole season of plant-forward recipes.
We cook in small batches, taste at every stage and write everything down - the soak, the bloom, the moment the leaf wilts just enough. Every recipe here has been planted, harvested, and planted again in a vegetarian kitchen.
everything here is grown with patience and a very warm oven
Start at the growth column, climb from the root threads through the seed bed, the leaf pinwheel and the climbing vine, and open the bloom mandala before you rest at the harvest wall. Every bud, thread, seed, leaf, fruit and blossom card opens into the full recipe.
Buy what is in season. Roast the root, save the seed, tear the leaf last. Salt in layers, finish with a flower. Leave the soil better than you found it.
